Introducing AP Business with Personal Finance

The newest AP® course, AP Business with Personal Finance, helps students understand how businesses work, build financial confidence, and develop practical skills they can use in college, careers, and everyday life.

What Students Will Learn

Through real-world applications and project-based learning, students gain valuable experience in high school and may have the opportunity to earn college credit for the course as well.

A passing score on the AP Business with Personal Finance exam validates foundational knowledge that colleges and employers value, including:

Employer Involvement

More than 500 employers and local chambers of commerce are involved in shaping and endorsing the course, from advising on content to validating skills. This means students are learning about business through real-world perspectives from organizations such as IBM, Cisco, and Nissan—leaders that hire, develop, and manage early talent nationwide.
